Every editing app sells a "film look." Scroll any wedding feed and you will see it: the faded blacks, the warm cast, the fake grain sprinkled on top. It photographs well on a phone screen and falls apart on a 30x40 print.
Actual film is not a color palette. It is a different way of recording light. Highlights roll off gently instead of clipping to white, which matters when the subject is a white dress in mountain sun. Skin tones hold together across mixed light. The grain is structure, not noise. Those are chemical properties, and software has been chasing them unsuccessfully for twenty years.

No. Sneak peeks still land within 48 hours, and your complete digital gallery still arrives within the week, guaranteed. Film has to be developed and scanned by a professional lab, so those frames follow a few weeks later as a separate addition to your gallery. You get the fast gallery and the film look, not one or the other.
It depends on the collection and the day, but typically several rolls across the moments where film earns its place: portraits, golden hour, and details. Julie will tell you exactly what your collection includes when you talk through it.
We will talk you out of it, respectfully. Film is beautiful and film is also unforgiving: 36 frames a roll, no instant review, and real limits in dark receptions. The hybrid approach exists because it gives you everything film does well with none of what it risks. If you want a heavily film-weighted day, Julie can build that.
Film is built into some collections and available as an add-on to any of them. Because film stock, development, and scanning are priced per roll, Julie quotes it based on how much film coverage you want. Ask her when you call and she will give you a real number, not a range.
Presets imitate the color of film. They cannot imitate how film handles light. Film compresses highlights gently instead of clipping them, holds skin tones through mixed light, and carries real grain instead of added noise. The difference shows most in exactly the conditions weddings are full of: white dresses in bright sun and candlelit rooms.
